Schwungrad is leading the development in the field of hybrid energy storage and grid connection techniques since it has explored the new field of hybrid flywheel/battery energy storage for a long time.In 2013,Schwungrad built the world first 20MW commercial hybrid flywheel/battery energy storage plant(Rhode 20MW) and developed  the first frequency and voltage control project to enhance system stability and reliability.
